The saying applies regardless of your landing surface: when you fall off the bike, get straight back in the saddle. That’s a golden rule for mountain bikers. Falls are part of the game. I’ve become particularly well accustomed to this during my rides at the PWC Cycle Park in Bryanston. I suppose a muddy pit formed during the wettest spell many Johannesburgers can recall isn’t the worst place to crash your MTB, but it does make the rest of the ride a tad… squelchy!
