It’s getting real – fast! Just over a week until #CountryRunner takes on the Northern Berg with a few hundred other brave souls! Here’s a final note from organisers of Run the Berg.

Just over a week to go, the trails are looking awesome and at this stage even the weather is looking good for next weekend!
A reminder of some of the important and helpful issues:
For all those driving from JHB, please see the link on the right hand side of the home page called R74 Route Condition – this could be the difference between a happy scenic drive and missing registration due to a flat tyre or worse.
Everybody make sure they are familiar with the Compulsory and Recommended Kit list and that you have the necessary stuff. We really don’t want to be pulling people off the trails because they don’t have a waterproof jacket. See list here.
Our online shop is still open for orders that can be picked up at the race weekend. This is until 14h00 today (25 September). After this cut-off you will still be able to buy this cool stuff but it will have to be on a postage added mail order basis.
For everybody staying in self-catering accommodation, it is recommended that you stock up with everything you need at home and bring it with. There are no shops here, and the nearest basic supplies are at least 45min away. Please also be aware that there will be no real food available at the Race Village on Friday at Registration and the Race Briefing. Local Masterchef The Phat Chef will be providing his special brand of gourmet boerie rolls and steak rolls (and salad rolls for THOSE guys..) at the Race Village on Saturday and Sunday. Beer and cooldrinks etc will also be available on Saturday and Sunday.
